I'm still alive, but my LJ isn't. I have no urge to continue updating this LJ anymore. The person who started it is no longer here, I am a different person now, and LJ and I have parted company.

Meanwhile, as a goodbye gesture, here's a picture of Peter Porker, Spider-Ham

01. Anyone who looks at this entry has to post this meme and their current wallpaper at their livejournal.
02. Explain in five sentences why you're using that wallpaper.
03. Don't change your wallpaper before doing this. The point is to see what you had on.

How can I explain in five sentences? OK then, Knight Rider is, and always will be cool. I found the DVD set in the cupboard and changed the desktop to match my current viewing. My desktops change with alarming frequency, and at this point, Knight Rider is there. And its a pity I didn't do this yesterday, because I had a cool looking "The Crow" wallpaper on there.

What is the only album on which a murderer and his victim both played?

This one:

De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas - Mayhem

One of the defining "Black Metal" albums, and probably one of the most infamous. De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas had Varg (Count Grishnackt) Vikernes playing bass, and Øystein "Euronymous" Aarseth on lead guitar.

For those who don't know, Vikernes stabbed Aarseth to death in 1993.

Lest We Forget

Underrated thespian Apr. 13th, 2009 @ 01:14 pm

The most underestimated actor (actor, as opposed to Hollywood Big name) of my generation would have to be Sylvester Stallone. And it can be proved with three movies.

Rocky (or Ronky on Imdb forums)

Ronky Rocky II

First Blood

Of these, two were written by Stallone himself, (The Rocky movies, First Blood was based on a novel by David Morell ) and one was directed by Stallone. (Rocky II). All of them are high quality dramas.

Which is where Stallone may have made his mistake in terms of the genre he eventually chose. He should have stayed in more dramatic roles. Maybe he wouldn't have made as much money, but his quality of films would be much higher.

And after all that, I forgot Rocky Balboa.

Sylvester Stallone, dramatic actor. Thats how I see him.

Thanks to a mistyping on the Internet Movie Database's forums, (at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075148/board/thread/129764987), the character of Rocky Balboa is now known as

Q:What do you get if you play New-Age music backwards?

A: New age music.

It's true. And who could get away with this type of sonic backmasking trickery?

That sneaky little Irish musician released a track called "Eclipse" which was simply a track "Deireadh An Tuath" from her first album, played backwards.

No news yet if this means she worships Satan! :)
